Jenny started her channel back in 2021 posting videos in the finance niche about budgeting, investing and money.
Her main focus from the start was short-form content, but she created her own strategy that started generating her 10M views on every single short uploaded.
So, how did Jenny master the short form game?
Jenny started off by noticing a “gap in the market”.
Instead of copying all the other popular youtubers in the investing niche like Graham Stephan, she created her own twist.
That twist was a kids investing channel.
There were no kids investing channels before she came on and started uploading her content.
That was no the only THING that separated her, she followed these 3 rules:
1. Hooks
They need to be concise, no more than 3 seconds and very visually pleasing in order to catch the attention of the viewers.
2. Story
In order to go viral, you need to tell stories because they increase the average watch duration of your videos. Storytelling is an essential aspect of going viral.
Jenny explained that you can use a simple framework for your storytelling:
Setting up conflict
Resolving the conflict
Setting up new conflict
3. Testing
If you want to create viral short form videos, you need to be constantly testing the videos and understand why viewers watch your videos and why they leave and slowly fixing that in every video until you master that.
Jenny is also using one of the most underrated tactics for growth and that is “content buckets”
Content buckets essentially are repeatable formats that you can see on YouTube.
Example of the title: $1 pizza vs $1 burger
You can repeat that title with multiple different foods and items.
Creating content buckets (based on what worked in the past) is the fastest way to go VIRAL on short form and long form content.
This is essentially how Jenny mastered the art of short form content and going VIRAL!
